Death Note

Shinigami, the God of Death, dropped a notebook in the human world where a weary genius picked it up. “The human whose name is written in this note shall die”, it said. This was the notebook of death that determined people’s death.

Light Yagami, an extremely bright elite university student was the one to possess this ultimate tool that should remain only in the hands of God. Light decides to create an ideal world and begins to hold the scales to judge the criminals in his discretion.

Meanwhile, ICPO (International Criminal Police Organization) has placed a mysterious detective called “L” in the Japanese police force to investigate the series of criminal dying suddenly. “L”, having solved many unresolved cases in the world, begins to tighten the investigative screws over these cases. But Light cleverly manipulates the notebook of death to toss and shake off the investigation. The future of mankind is at the mercy of this crucial and fierce battle of the two brains.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Captain Jack is back…and so are Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, joined by a roistering shipload of characters both new and familiar, in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST -- the epic second installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean saga. Once again we have JOHNNY DEPP starring in his Academy Award-nominated role, ORLANDO BLOOM and 2005 Best Actress Oscar nominee KEIRA KNIGHTLEY.

Produced by JERRY BRUCKHEIMER and directed by GORE VERBINSKI, Captain Jack sets sail on this all-new adventure. In this swashbuckling and spectacular follow-up to the blockbuster 2003 film, the decidedly eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow is caught up in another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. Although the curse of the Black Pearl has been lifted, an even more terrifying threat looms over its captain and scurvy crew: it turns out that Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones (BILL NIGHY), Ruler of the Ocean Depths, who captains the ghostly Flying Dutchman, which no other ship can match in speed and stealth. Unless the ever-crafty Jack figures a cunning way out of this Faustian pact, he will be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation in the service of Jones. This startling development interrupts the wedding plans of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who once again find themselves thrust into Jack’s misadventures, leading to escalating confrontations with sea monsters, very unfriendly islanders, flamboyant soothsayer Tia Dalma (NAOMIE HARRIS) and even the mysterious appearance of Will’s long-lost father, Bootstrap Bill (STELLAN SKARSGÅRD).

Meanwhile, ruthless pirate hunter Lord Cutler Beckett (TOM HOLLANDER) of the East India Trading Company sets his sights on retrieving the fabled “Dead Man’s Chest.” According to legend, whoever possesses the Dead Man’s Chest gains control of Davy Jones, and Beckett intends to use this awesome power to destroy every last Pirate of the Caribbean once and for all. For times are changing on the high seas, with businessmen and bureaucrats becoming the true pirates ... and freewheeling, fun-loving buccaneers like Jack and his crew threatened with extinction.

Over the Hedge

Just whose backyard is it, anyway?

Spring has sprung, and Verne and his woodland friends awaken from their long winter's nap to discover that a tall, green "thing" has mysteriously cropped up right through the middle of their home. Enter RJ, an opportunistic raccoon, who explains that the world beyond the hedge is the "gateway to the good life" where peculiar creatures called humans live to eat, rather than eat to live.

Suspicious and even a little jealous of RJ, the ever-cautious Verne wants to keep his blended family safely on their side of the hedge. But, proving the adage that one man's garbage is another man's—or rather animal's—treasure, the manipulative RJ tries to convince the woodland band that there is little to fear and everything to gain from their over-indulgent new neighbors. Eventually, RJ and Verne form an unlikely friendship as they learn to co-exist with—and even exploit—this strange new world called suburbia.

Chicken Little

This time the sky really is falling.

Walt Disney Feature Animation adds a whole new dimension to its legacy for memorable characters, great storytelling, and technical innovation with “Chicken Little,” the Studio’s first fully computer-animated feature film. A pioneer in using computers in animation since the early 1980s, Disney brings its distinct filmmaking style and approach to this exciting medium, along with a host of technical innovations. The result is a film that captures the very best qualities of Disney animation with a look and feel that audiences have never seen before. Adding to the excitement, “Chicken Little” is being presented in select theatres across the country in Disney Digital 3D, a revolutionary new true three-dimensional digital experience. Disney teamed with effects powerhouse Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) to render the movie in 3D, and the film will be shown using specially installed Dolby Digital Cinema systems.

The sky’s the limit in Walt Disney Pictures’ “Chicken Little,” a delightful computer-animated comedy-adventure that gives a sophisticated and satirical twist to the classic fable. It is now one year after the “unfortunate acorn incident” when Chicken Little caused big-time havoc in his hometown of Oakey Oaks by proclaiming that the sky was falling after being conked on the head by what appeared to be an acorn. Down but not out, the plucky chicken joins the local baseball team in the hopes of reviving his reputation and winning the respect of his father, Buck Cluck. When he leads the town to an upset victory, he becomes the toast of the town. But no sooner has the champion chicken redeemed himself when he is hit on the head one more time. And this time the sky really is falling! Fearful of once again being labeled crazy, he is reluctant to tell anyone what has happened. Instead, he enlists the help of his closest pals -- Runt of the Litter, Abby Mallard (aka Ugly Duckling), and Fish Out of Water -- in an attempt to save the day without sending the town into a whole new panic.

A stellar cast of talented actors and actresses lend voice to the animated stars of “Chicken Little.” Zach Braff, star of the hit NBC series “Scrubs” and the director of last year’s critically acclaimed feature, “Garden State,” brings offbeat humor, a sense of determination, and lots of explosive energy to the likeable little title character. Veteran director and all-around funnyman Garry Marshall (“Pretty Woman,” “The Princess Diaries”) provides the distinctive voice of Buck Cluck, frustrated father of Chicken Little and a former baseball star. Actress Joan Cusack adds warmth and comedy to the vocal performance of Abby Mallard (aka Ugly Duckling), a beautiful friend who has no shortage of advice to share. Steve Zahn (“Sahara,” “Happy, Texas”) takes on the big role of Runt of the Litter, a skittish 900-pound porker who is the smallest in his family. Dan Molina, the film’s editor, creates the non-verbal sounds for Fish Out of Water, aided and abetted by a five-gallon bottle of water and a drinking straw. Chicken Little’s nemesis, Foxy Loxy, is voiced by Amy Sedaris, the popular star of such programs as “Sex and the City” and “Strangers with Candy.”

The film’s supporting cast includes performances from some top comic talents. Don Knotts, the intrepid deputy sheriff Barney Fife from “The Andy Griffith Show,” gets a promotion to Mayor Turkey Lurkey in “Chicken Little.” Comic actor Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons,” “This is Spinal Tap”) reports for vocal duty as the play-by-play canine commentator at the big baseball game. Patrick Stewart gives a sheepish performance as the humorless high school teacher, Mr. Woolensworth. Wallace Shawn is heard as high-strung high school principal Fetchit. Fred Willard and Catherine O’Hara team up for laughs as concerned alien parents, Melvin and Tina, on a mission to find their missing kid, Kirby. Adam West turns in a commanding performance as the voice of Ace, Hollywood’s version of Chicken Little in the movie version of his life. Patrick Warburton, who delighted audiences as the dim-witted Kronk in “Emperor’s New Groove,” provides a memorable cameo here as the alien cop.

Ice Age 2

The chill is gone.

In ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN, the sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbuster CGI film “Ice Age” are back – Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and the hapless prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat. In the new film, from director Carlos Saldanha and the Academy Award winning creators of “Ice Age” and “Robots,” the Ice Age is coming to an end, and the animals are delighting in the melting paradise that is their new world.

Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary return to voice our three heroes: Manny, Sid, and Diego. New cast members include Academy Award nominee Queen Latifah (“Chicago”), Seann William Scott (the “American Pie” trilogy), late night talk show king Jay Leno, Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”) and Josh Peck (“Drake and Josh”).

Our trio is still together and enjoying the perks of their now melting world. Manny may be ready to start a family, but nobody has seen another mammoth for a long time; Manny thinks he may be the last one. That is, until he miraculously finds Ellie (voiced by Queen Latifah), the only female mammoth left in the world. Their only problems: They can't stand each other – and Ellie somehow thinks she’s a possum!

Ellie comes with some excess baggage in the form of her two possum “brothers”...Crash and Eddie (voiced by Seann William Scott and Josh Peck), a couple of daredevil pranksters and cocky, loud-mouthed troublemakers.

Manny, Sid, and Diego quickly learn that the warming climate has one major drawback: A huge glacial dam holding off oceans of water is about to break, threatening the entire valley. The only chance of survival lies at the other end of the valley. So our three heroes, along with Ellie, Crash and Eddie, form the most unlikely family -- in any “Age” -- as they embark on a mission across an ever-changing, increasingly dangerous landscape towards their salvation.

The film also presents the continuing adventures, or misadventures, of Scrat, who has an even larger role this time.

Not ready for parenthood, Bree seizes her chance and encourages Toby’s misconception. When she learns that the rebellious, disheveled Toby intends to skip bail and hitchhike to L.A. to break into X-rated videos and search for his real father, Bree panics.
